ABOUT GREGOR WOELTJE

Gregor Woeltje is a fully qualified architect, and worked as a copywriter, journalist and creative director before founding his own advertising agency. Since selling his agency, he has been dedicating himself and his entrepreneurship exclusively to “sustainable business ideas”, thereby combining profit and non-profit goals.

The main emphasis of Woeltje’s work lies in consulting, coaching, strategy and idea-development. He is married, father of three children and four step children.

since 2016: Founder and managing director of "The Lovelace - A Hotel Happening". The world's first pop up hotel is the first proof of concept for more "Hotel Happenings" planned in the next years. Co-Owner of "Lost Weekend", a coffee-shop/book-shop in Munich.

since 2014: Co-host and head curator of TEDxMunich, one of the biggest spin offs of the legendary TED conference.

since 2009: Founder and Managing Director of the consulting company Woeltje GmbH, focusing on sustainability, strategy, marketing and corporate communications.

2009: Co-founder and Chairman of the Board of Good Restaurants AG. Opening of the first organic food-shop Waku-Waku in 2012 in Hamburg/Germany.

2007 – 2012: Co-founder and Member of the Supervisory Board of UTOPIA, Germany’s largest online community for strategic consumption and sustainable lifestyle (www.utopia.de). Co-founder of the Utopia Foundation for sustainable development.

2005: Sale of the advertising agency to the Omnicom Group. Intensive research in the following subjects: climate change, sustainability, ethical consumption.

1992 – 2005: Co-founder and managing partner of the advertising agency .start (www.start.ag). Chief Creative Officer responsible for communication-strategy and creative ideas for the following clients such as: MTV, Burger King, Yahoo, Levi’s, e.on and Deutsche Bank.

1962 – 1991: Born in Hannover/Germany, raised in Munich. High School Diploma at Milton Academy, Boston. Studies in architecture in Berlin and Munich. Working as a journalist, copywriter and concept creator.
